OUR MISSION

To bless weary or distressed pastors and missionaries with a week of ‘extreme hospitality’ so that they can experience deep rest, quiet, and amazing food- all in Jesus’ name.

This is the mission of Shepherd’s Care, and since August 2017 that is exactly what they have been doing. In that time, many weary missionaries and pastors have come and found just the thing they needed. They are not weary from doing good, they are not wearing from their calling, simply weary from not resting. For many, this is exactly where the Lord wanted them so that He could minister and witness to them the importance of finding that rest. To learn that taking time to rest does not keep them from doing ministry work, yet quite the opposite. It strengthens and empowers them “to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” Acts 20:24b

Here’s what some of the “resters” have said about finding just that…

It wasn’t until we got there and had a chance to just stop all the activity, that I realized how much I needed that time to unplug.”

”Once my heart was quiet, I was able to relax on the beach, listen to the waves roll in, and experience God’s healing hand on my weary soul with each rolling wave. Wow, what a blessing!”

”I experienced God being good to me in a way I have not known in 40 years sharing Christ in 100 nations around the world.

God met with them personally…

For seven days, God spoke His love over me. I did not even know how starved my own soul was until about the fourth day. I had forgotten how passionate God is to commune with me and lavish His love on me, not for what I do for Him, but because I am His child.”

”God did meet with us. Not in a dramatic or mountain-top way, but in quiet and faithfulness.”

”This time in Bluffton was a Kiss from Abba Father !!!

And strengthens earthly relationships…

I saw an impact in our relationship when I got back. She is more my friend than before and I love her more than ever!

This blog will share stories of those that have visited the beautiful Hilton Head Island/Bluffton South Carolina area to find rest, restoration and courage to keep going. Stories of those that have said
