FROM PERSECUTED CHURCH TO BEACHSIDE REST

Mark works with Persecuted Pastors from some of the worst places on the planet.  

He feels the deep burden of their suffering and it has a great impact on his own heart.  He and his wife were dreaming of some time on the beach when God directed us to him.  The door below led them to a beach home where they were able to completely fall apart for a week.  See his story below.

When we arrived, we were tired and worn from heavy work with persecuted Christians. From our first steps into the house, Shepherds Care thought of every wonderful detail. From hand-painted cards and welcome gifts to recommendations and gift cards to their favorite restaurants. We were blown away by their love and their “extreme" hospitality! Their spiritual encouragement to rest at the beginning of the week inspired in us a new level of engaging with God and with one another. His presence inspired in us a new way of thinking about rest and scheduling time with God for refreshing and renewing us! Today, He is calling us to see leaders around the world and to ask God for plans to care and serve them in new ways, so they can find rest from their work and time invested in God’s healing work of sabbath. If you are considering Shepherds Care, be warned, all who enter into their care will experience new levels of joy! God used to our time to transform us and give us a vision for our sisters and brothers around the world who need His loving rest away from their labors and in God’s care. He is a Great Shepherd! When we signed up, we had no idea how amazing our time would be. We’ll never forget what God did through their hands at Shepherds Care.
