STUFFED WITH GOODNESS

We believe that God wants to LAVISH His children- and so do we!

During our first hours together Joe and Patty kept telling us that the body Christ wanted to bless us and that everything in the house was provided for us to enjoy. It didn't mean much at the time but later when I opened the refrigerator and the cabinets I saw that they were over stocked with food and goodies. Then I saw the gift baskets and the other goody items that were also gifts to us and I was so impressed with the lavishness and care that had gone into the preparation for our arrival.

During the week I was reading through the Psalms and Psm 13:6 says "I will sing to the LORD because he has dealt bountifully with me" ESV. All week long I could sense God's bountifulness to us. This caused me to wonder if the week at Shepherd's Care was a fore-taste of Heaven; opening the refrigerator and cabinets to see them overflowing....

The week at Shepherd's Care was literally care-free for me. It is hard for others to understand what that means to me but it is probably one of the first times I actually relaxed for a whole week! For those few days I had no cares, no worries, and I felt like my cup was over flowing...

Thank you

Dave
